Team Adventure Challenge

TMG Team Adventure Challenge: 52,688 Miles, 91 Days, 13 Nonprofits Supported

The McAlear Group and its team members completed the internal Team Adventure Challenge. This team member wellness challenge not only encouraged healthy lifestyles but also made a meaningful impact in the communities where team members live and work. Through the challenge, team members formed walking teams and worked together toward a shared goal of staying active while supporting causes that matter most to them. Teams of up to 12 members that completed the challenge of walking 4,500 miles in 91 days earned a $500 donation for the nonprofit of their choice. Teams that reached 75% or 50% of the goal earned prorated donations. Thanks to the participation of 178 team members, The McAlear Group donated $4,000 to 13 nonprofit organizations selected by the participating teams. The challenge was designed to promote wellness and teamwork through friendly competition while reinforcing the company’s commitment to giving back. By connecting physical activity with charitable giving, participating team members were able to make a difference both within the workplace and throughout their local communities. The 13 nonprofit organizations chosen by employees represent a wide variety of missions, reflecting the passions of The McAlear Group team members. A complete list of organizations can be found here.

Five teams crushed the challenge, raising $500 for their chosen nonprofit
organization!

Four teams who accomplished over 75% of the course raised $250 for their
nonprofit.

Lastly, five teams successfully tackled over 50% of the course and raised $100 for their nonprofit.

Purpose with Passion

The Walking Team Challenge is one of many ways The McAlear Group invests in both team member well-being and community engagement, demonstrating that small steps can lead to meaningful change. As of July, over $15,000 has been raised through TMG team member fundraising and organizational matching. Additional community efforts are planned for the second half of the year.

Throughout the year, we look for opportunities to learn more about people, events, and organizations surrounding us, not just in Ohio, but across the US.
