Adopt a Family - 2015
In the spirit of giving, The McAlear Group embraced the holiday season by adopting a local family for Christmas. With an outpouring of generosity, they provided not only gifts and essentials but also a heartwarming sense of community, making the season truly special for the adopted family.
Flight Challenge – 2016
During the summer of 2016, the McAlear Group raised funds for Honor Flight. Through various events, the McAlear Group was able to raise more than $25,000 for Honor Flight
Ronald McDonald House - 2017
The McAlear Group dedicated a day to volunteer at the Ronald McDonald House, extending their support to provide a home cooked meal to families in need during challenging times.
Houston Hurricane Trip – 2017
A few SSC and DCD employees took a trip to Houston to help aid in Hurricane Harvey relief. During their time in Houston, our team helped a home remove water damaged drywall and hang new.
Burger Bash & Dash -2017
In addition to their role as a primary sponsor, a team of employees participated in the first annual Burger Bash and Dash. The 5K race supported the St. Paul's Community Center, an organization dedicated to assisting the most vulnerable through its homeless shelter, transitional housing, and various programming.
Can Food Drive - 2017
The McAlear Group had a Food Drive benefiting Marketplace for All People, a Food Bank in downtown Toledo. 2,300 cans were collected, helping over 280 individual families in our community.
NICU Carnival - 2019
A group of McAlear Group employees led various 'carnival games' for NICU graduate families of the Mercy Children's Hospital NICU in Toledo.
Children Miracle Network - 2020
In 2019, The McAlear Group conducted a year-long cause marketing campaign. A portion of the proceeds from each LiftMaster operator sold was donated to the Children’s Miracle Network – Mercy Children's Hospital. The total donation amounted to $22,205
Habitat for Humanity - 2021
A team of McAlear Group employees built a garage for a Habitat for Humanity restoration home in Toledo. In addition to the construction, the McAlear Group donated the door, operator, and all the hardware for the garage.
Care Packages For Soldiers - 2022
Our team created care packages for our active military troops during the holiday season. Each box included a handwritten letter showing our appreciation for their dedicated service and shared our warmest holiday wishes. We packaged 185 boxes and sent them to men and women serving overseas. It’s a small part we could contribute to bring some joy for those who couldn’t be home.
Humane Society - 2023
The McAlear Group volunteers regularly at the Toledo Humane Society. Volunteers spend time making enrichment items for the dogs and cats at the shelter waiting on their forever homes. Our efforts allow for regular volunteers at the Humane Society to focus on animal care and these items give the animals a fun and playful treat! After our work is complete, many volunteers take time to visit with the animals as well.
Bike to the Bay - 2023
Bike to the Bay is an annual charity two-day cycling event that brings together participants of all ages and skill levels to raise funds and awareness for the National MS Society. The McAlear Group had 3 teams in this event, two volunteer groups to cheer on riders and supply water, snack and information at rest stops along the race and a group of ridders going 100 and 50 miles!
